    Burm doesn't like newspaper!

So my burm has decided she doesn't like her newspaper. I have had to redo her cage everyday for a couple of weeks now. As soon as I get her back in, she goes straight to work clearing the floor of the newspaper. I have tried several things like weaving the sheets together and other things. I even tried roll paper so it is larger pieces. I honestly get the impression she is doing it for fun or maybe displeasure. As soon as all of the paper is cleared to one side of the tank, she settles down on her hot side. I was thinking of trying aspen, but I get nervous about mites or other pests. I have been using newspaper with her for 2 years. Not sure why she started doing this! Any ideas? Could it be a breeding season thing? No male burms in the house.
