    Getting snakes shipped to Ohio?

    Hi I'm wanting to buy some BP's from websites out of state but what all do I need to have to get them sent to me in ohio? entry papers etc? Thanks

    From a federal standpoint, you don't need any special paperwork as long as the BPs are coming from the US. You'll need to double-check your local laws, though.

    Ok but I'm lost on what all Is needed to come with the snake I think it needs entry papers? but I'm not sure is there some one who knows about getting snakes shipped here? Thanks

    Ok just wanted to make sure because a few sites want to charge me $14 for a vet check because it said they are needed for snakes going to ohio.

    It wasn't like that in January but things could have changed I guess, surprised that nobody posted anything about a change though

    Googled it. According to the government website, it's domestic animals that need a vet certificate. They specifically mention herd animals and poultry. They way the law reads it appears they consider reptiles non-domestic animals. Call Reptmart. Maybe they have experience with running afoul of this law.

    Good breeders usually know the laws state by state but it never hurts to ask...
