    Krampus is growing....

He eats like a pig, enjoys long swims in the bathtub and yeah just general lizard stuff.. probably will be upgrading into a sweet Vision cage until we move and have a whole room or outdoor "shed" for him, mainly so he can have a larger water tub to swim in..

    ^^ That was funny.

He's looking really good! I'm tossing around the idea of getting a monitor myself. Trouble is finding one that won't get HUGE and one that is not so delicate as a tree monitor. I have to admit, an emerald tree monitor is what I really want, but I've read they can be tricky to care for. Thinking about a mangrove. What do you think?

    I like your boy - he's pretty.

Thank ya he is a good lizard. He is growing like a little weed and he is almost "fun sized" so we can start taking him around and getting him used to being handled by more people.
Gah I really really really wanted a black tree monitor too! I think that might have to wait though until we move and have specific rooms for our reptiles.
I like the looks of a mangrove, they have a gorgeous pattern to them. I dont think I have seen any in person but they do look awfully nice, bout how big do they get?
The BF and I both really fell in love with all the AWM that we had met, and we both before getting into a relationship together had always wanted a large lizard, so why not go big lol

Mangroves are a medium-sized monitor. Bigger than tree monitors, but not as big as a tegu. I have to do more research on them - I've only just begun to kick the idea around. I'm still considering tree monitors because I'm head over heals for emerald tree monitors. So we'll see, lol!!
