    New Hides?

How long does it usually take a ball python to start using new hides? I know that bps usually dont like when you rearrange their cage but i mean its inevitable sometimes.. atm he seems to be avoiding the hides, although he has stuck his head in a few times.

It really depends on the BP and if the hides are good/appropriately sized.

I would say that if it has been a few days there might be an issue.

An hour to you is like 5 minutes to a ball python

Sometimes when I introduce a new hide(I rarely use them) I let the snake slither out of my hands and guide it into the hide so it goes in and checks it out right away.
Sometimes they just do not like our choices

Also if you plan on getting new hides for a BP try to make them the exact same hide... that keeps them away from picking a fav hide and they have two hides that are different they will tend to pick a fav it so when your looking for hides pick two matching hides... that has always helped me
