    up and running

So i got both my animal plastics tanks up and running. Just waiting for the glass for the t8. It should be here any minute from fedex. These tanks are awsome that is all i have to say.

My BCC El Diablo is in the top tank. i figured i would put him in there because everyone said bcc's husbandry has to be spot on.

    Well his as follows
    Hot spot 92-94
    ambient temps 78
    cool side floor is 80-82
humidity is 55 on hot side 65 on cool side

What gets me is i havent even sprayed the tank down and it has been running since last sat.

enough talking and here are some pictures. i think he has enough floor space and adiquent hides. but right now he is burrowed under the bedding.

top tank is the t10 4x2x15 and bottom tank is the t8 4x2x12. I kinda wish i would of went with another t 10.... but the wait killed me so i couldnt pass up the deal on the t8 and needless to say i ordered it monday and i had it friday afternoon!!! Animal plastics rocks!

this is going to be my dumerils tank

Those are awesome!! The setups look great.

I am considering changing up my own setup and going with a 5-stack of AP T8s for my males and smaller boas, but I wonder if the T10s would be better. Why did you say you wish you'd gone with another T10? Is it easier to clean? Any other preferences? Thanks!

when you get it i found a trick to using the sealent that they give you. insead of cuttign the top off and squeesing it out. cut the bottom off and just dip your finger in and use it that way. for some reason both of mine when i went to seal them made me feel like i got an arm workout more than when i hit the gym.

Are they worth the extra $45 per cage?? Remember, I'm looking at a 5-stack so that's an additional $245 overall....

if your putting boas in them i would say yes.

I personally like the space of the t10 over the t8. I think the t8 just looks too short but that is "MY OPPINION". some people love the t8. ill take a picture of my hand at the opening of the t8 and at the opening at the t10. give me a second to upload for you.

i tried to get it as straight on as i could. i am 5'7" so my hands arent huge by any means.

Here is my hand by the opening of the t8. i think it may be hard once rocky gets full grown to get her out of the tank or not even have enough room once she is full grown. ill prob upgrade down the road to a t10 for her or get a something bigger for el diablo once i get a houce. but here is the opening with my hand. the picture is taken about 3 feet away so it is pretty acurate.

now here is the t10 my hand is in the same spot as i had it in the t8 and camera is the same distance away.

    hope that helps some

Looks great man, I can't wait to get my prolines in. I think I would have gone with AP but I like the drop down windows and I don't want to fight with getting my Boa out when he is 6/7'+ How do you like the heat panels and how do you have your thermostat probe set up?
