    What is this?

Can anyone Identify what this is? I have no idea what this is. I'm not sure if I should be worried or not. Should I make an appointment with my vet?

I'm thinking that looks like a burn, is there anything in the enclosure that could have caused a burn (uncontrolled heatmat, exposed lamp, heat rocks)?

looks like a burn. If you have a uth you might want to check your temps above it to make sure its not too hot.

That's weird!? My temps haven't been running too hot. I have seven balls in one rack and she's the only one with that mark.

    What is this?

How are you measuring your temps and what are they? Is your UTH hooked up to a thermostat?

It's definitely a burn. You need to double check your temps (preferably with a temp gun) and take that girl to the vet to get some antibiotic cream. Put her in a sterile tub on paper towels so you can keep it clean while it heals.

She's in a tub with paper towels right now. I check my temps with a temp gun too. No out of the ordinary heat spikes. I'm a little confused how she got it.

What are the temps? Where is the probe for your thermostat located?
