    5 days or 7 days?

The age old question. How often do you feed your ball pythons? Are there negative side effects to feeding every 5 days? Does it actually help them grow bigger?

Honestly, it depends on who I've got at the time. Babies get fed every 5 days whether it's my balls or corns. Since it's easiest to just feed everyone at once, that's what I do. My adults will have food offered every 5 days if I have babies at the time. When it's just adults, it's every 7. Obviously, the adults will eat less per feeding when it's every 5 days but overall, it evens out.

Youngsters every 5 days, adults once a week.

Every 5 days up to a year old, and every 7 after that is fine as long as you're feeding appropriate sized prey. For hatchlings, you can feed every 3 to 4 days for the first several months because they are constantly hungry. No negative effects of feeding every 5 days and yes it would probably help them grow bigger, faster. But, it does depend on genetics and they are all different. Some grow faster than others on the same feeding schedule.
