a single rough scale

ok just took my 700g male lesser out of his tank....

husbandry/temps/humidity is spot on....hes refused his last 2 meals but all my bps seem to not like eating in january and february so far....

I noticed a single scale about 2 inches back from the right side of his head ....the lower half of it is rough to the touch but the upper section of it isnt and looks fine....I've tried a getting a photo but its too small for my current cameras

any opinions?

somehow I doubt that would cause a single scale to get rough....

Could it simply be that the very top layer of the scale got damaged during the shedding process?

I had a similar thing happen to one of the babies I produced last year. Out of no where he had a spot that became rough and lumpy on his back. I sprayed him down with a mild solution of F10 and within two days it was cured. He did have an indented scar after his shed but he never had the problem again and that was the only time I ever saw it in my collection.
