None of the snakes you have are really aggressive. Three years is not that much time. You will be bit. Please do not delude yourself into thinking you are the "snake whisperer" because we all do and a snake ends up proving us wrong and that's the truth. Not trying to be an ass or anything. Until I started adding a retic, short tails, and bloods to my collection it was smooth sailing. We are all curators not the masters.

This is absolutely right. If you keep snakes it's not a matter of "if" it's a matter of "when" lol. That being said I've only ever been bit by ball pythons. Still looking forward to the day my short tail nails me; she doesn't strike but I'm sure there will be an accident some time.

Man isn't that the truth!! We have a female, normal Royal python and she's been a gem for the last year. I don't picture her biting although someday she may. She made me think I'd never be bitten.

I have a new, male, Colombian boa that is 11 months old and he introduced me to what happens to overly comfortable snake owners.

No pain, I actually laughed and he was obviously waiting for another rat (he only gets one always) after downing one. I was moving some substrate back into place and taking out the news paper I use to keep sub out of his mouth. I should have waited.

He had just finished the tail here and I was tagged right after this picture.

I could not imagine the feeling from a bigger snake like an anaconda with some weight behind it. Depending on the snake one mistake might be all you get unless you are smart and have a second person and a plan of action.

Funny (my little bite), yet good reminder that these animals have very strong instincts when it comes to feeding and defending themselves.

I'm happy I got tagged when he was small as the lesson will keep me on my toes. I still love the guy and appreciate him even more for what he is, but if he hits 7 feet and gains some substantial weight I won't be looking forward to another bite.
