What ever they are, it would benefit your snake if you soaked him. When my guys got ticks, a good soak would kill many of them. You can actually see them floating in the water after your snake leaves it.
Just get a rubbermaid that's big enough for your snake to sit comfortably in. Fill it with room-temp, dish-soapy water, but not so deep that the snake has to struggle to keep its head out of the water. Leave the snake in there for about an hour; you may want to put a heatpad under the rmaid if your house is chilly. After soaking, you can move the bubbles aside and see if you can spot any ticks/mites.
