Need help identifiying if my Ball Python is a Het. Pied, please!?

    Hello!

I just recently got a Ball Python, and was wondering if there was a chance it was a Het. Pied? I watched the video on Youtube, where the guy explains the differences, but I still just can't fully tell. Thanks in advance for looking and for your time!

If you didn't buy it from a reputable breeder as a het pied, it's a normal until proven otherwise through breeding.

Only way to tell is through breeding to see if the snake proves to be het for pied. Some het pieds have belly "tracks" but some don't, and likewise some normals can have those tracks too but they aren't het pied. Breeding is the only way to prove a possible het.

Is there a chance? Yes. Can anyone tell by looking? No. The het pied "markers" are just some consistencies that people have noticed. Not all het pieds have them, and not all snakes that have them are het pied.

(I assume you are talking about a normal)

The only way to be sure is either if you know one of his parents was a visual pied, or if you breed him to a 100% het pied / visual pied and get pied babies.

    Sorry :-(
