    Registered Breeder?

    Hi,

I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and have been wondering how someone goes about becoming a "registered snake breeder"? I've heard conflicting ideas. Some say there is no license to breed/sell snakes, while some say there are. I know the majority of users of this site are American, but any help would be appreciated I'm interested in creating my own reptile business down the road and would like to officially call myself a registered breeder.

    Thanks

I don't know anything about Canadian laws but in the US it varies greatly state by state...you might want to try starting with your regional fish/wildlife/game department or look into your national wildlife agency (sorry have no clue what it would be called for you guys).

In the US federally it goes back to 3 primary departments depending on what we are dealing with animal wise...Dept of Interior, Dept of Agriculture, or Dept of Commerce.
