    Phantom or Not?

Hi everyone, I picked up a phantom last week, but I've been told by others that he might just be a normal.

So here I am, posting this thread, hoping to get some inputs on the id of this guy.

    Thanks!

Where did you get this guy? He could be, and excuse the term, an "ugly" phantom. Not the best example perhaps...? Not saying the snake itself is ugly. He's actually bery cool looking. Looks Mojave-ish.... BEL complex for sure. You will probably get better opinions than mine and goodluck! If you have a Lesser or Mojave female, it should be fun to prove out

    Re: Phantom or Not?

I got him from another forum. An "ugly" phantom is exactly what I think he is lol.
I will try to pair him up with mojave in the future to prove him out.
    Thanks !

I would use the word busy pattern rather than ugly, although it seems to have low blushing, i think he would mix well with black pastel or pinstripe, or you could put him with mojave for busy pattern potions. I personally like the look of more pattern on potions.

I prefer busy pattern rather than ugly as well, but I had my doubts, so that's why I called him ugly.
And yes, I'm hoping for some busy patterned potions in the future!
( got my fingers crossed that he's a phantom.. I'll find out when some of his babies hatch out later this year )

    Phantom or Not?

It has a phantom look, just not much color. I would say lower quality phantom.

Did you just get him? I am asking because you already have him paired up. I would recommend you practice good QT procedure to prevent future headaches and problems...

    Re: Phantom or Not?

Not even going to try and defend myself, my curiosity got the best of me on this one.
I should have kept him under QT longer.

    Thank you for your suggestion!

I did use the word "ugly" very lightly. You know what i meant

I wouldnt say "busy" pattern because the pattern is almost spot on. Its the colors that give doubt. Hence the term.
    Hope that helps
