1100 grams on the dot! 8-month rescue update

These guys are my best feeders and will eat every day if I let them! In May the male spider was 2.5 years old, the female pastel coming up on 3 years. The before and after pics blow me away!

    Before
    Thor - 218g

    Freija - 448g

Both of them together in their shipping box - if I had known the condition the spider was in I would not have allowed my ex-friend to ship them. Yes, because of the condition of these animals I split ties with a friend I had since third grade. Have not regretted that decision one bit.

And today, in the same plastic container and (not exact same but same size) shipping box:

Yeah, he was in rough shape. He drank 150g of water in the first night.

This is what his first pee looked like (yes, that's all pee...)

Thanks, and yeah, she said that no matter what she tried they were just picky eaters and wouldn't eat anything but small live mice. Funny though, I got them to eat f/t rats right away. She said Thor hadn't eaten in 2 months which is why he looked so bad. The last time I visited her they were lying in their own filth in tiny tubs with no water. I also got a leopard gecko from her that was in such bad shape he didn't make it, although he got better he had several abscesses in his liver.

I don't think 2 months of not eating would make a snake that skinny unless he was pretty skinny to start with. I'm glad to helped them out !

Exactly, they looked great when she first got them. They suffered long-term neglect. I felt somewhat guilty, because she got them because she liked mine so much. I didn't persuade her or anything, and offered her the right advice, but still....
