Thank you.
The change he's been making is amazing, the vet tech even commented on it today. He still has a ways to go but he is doing so much better. Poor thing really hates getting his meds though.

Thank you.
I'm very happy he is getting better. When the right eye cleared up it was an amazing feeling, I am hoping the left eye will get better soon. It looks better now that he's on different antibiotics but it's not completely healed up yet.

Thank you.
When he finally eats on his own I may just cry. It's been a long few months, but I am happy to say it's a matter of when not if when it comes to him completely recovering. The vet wasn't sure he would make it in the beginning.

I have some extremely sad news about Myanmar. After trying for months to turn him around my vet and I decided that it was more humane to euthanize him. As of a few days ago he is finally at peace. We made the decision to let him go because there was little more we could do for him. Even after months of trying to treat him my vet believes he might have still been septic. We were tube feeding him as he wouldn't eat on his own and that seemed to make little difference. The real kicker for me though was that his scales became paper thin. If you held him too tightly and he moved his scales would separate from his skin. He ended up with a lot of scabs from the tube feedings as a result.
I wish this was a happy update about him making a full recovery and eating me out of house and home. I feel blessed to have known this gentle giant and I am glad he is no longer suffering.
His story should forever be remember as a case for why proper husbandry and vet care are a must.

Take sollice in knowing that at least in his last few months of life he was well loved. It sounds like you did everything you could, but his condition was simply too poor for recovery... RIP little guy...
