No one in the world would risk that type of connector being listed. It is an extreme fire hazard. The connectors are NOT listed. I challenge to prove me wrong on this. We are talking safety here.

Rich, you mentioned this a while back, (regarding the new connectors). I haven't noticed the new connectors on the website yet, will they be available soon?

I emailed Rich the other day about it.
http://www.reptilebasics.com/thgheat-clipset
That link is the new connectors. He told me the pic didn't come out right and he is having it retaken but he told me this
"You can get the new eyelets/rivets though. Just request them in the instructions/comments box on the checkout page."
I know I will be getting some very soon.
I do want to thank Rich for getting back so quickly to me questions. Always great customer service A+ in my book.

Not that my .02 cents matter but I usually wait a little while after a product comes out to try it. It allows all the problems and bugs to be brought to life and fixed. I will be sticking with my flexwatt until some more publicity comes forth about the new heat tape.

Re: Heat Tape
The wire/clip/insulator sets are the new ones. The clip/insulator picture did not come back from the picture guy, he should have it done today. If you prefer those the new clip/insulators just ask for them ion the comments box at checkout.

Thanks all of you for the response. As an electronics tech I can see the advantages of RB's heat tape over Flexwatt just by it's construction. Being able to cut anywhere along it's length, and a superior connection system sells it for me. The connecting method alone using rivets is clearly superior as far as I'm concerned. If I were heating my floors I might be more apt to use a proven product made for that purpose, (flexwatt), but I'm not wanting to heat my floors, just my reptile tubs, which is what RB's tape was designed to do...makes sense to me. I'll be ordering today Rich.

Rich has put up soldering instructions now as well.

We find the new THG heat tape easier to solder than other brands.
