    Hello,
I am planning on changing my Bp's cage so it will hopefully be more comfortable for him.

i want to add another hide in there, and i dont want to buy one (yes, im cheap, but not when it comes to health), so i was wndering if i could use a plastic bowl (a bigger one) and turn it upside down, then cut a hole for him, being big enough, of course, and then, id melt the edges of the hole (so it's nice and smooth)

now, i was wondering if after all that, if i could spray paint it like, a browny/earthy color?

would the spray paint affect him?

i would let it dry and ventilate and all the other stuff before, or should i just leave it being white/speckled?

    thanks

(BTW, after i have his entire set up completed, i will take pictures, of course, cuz i know no one on here can live without pictures, and ill have before and after pictures too, just for fun)

    spray Paint for a hide?

I woundn't paint it at all i'd just leave it be but yes the upside down bowel with the cut hole and melted edges is a great and cheap way to give him and extra hide. another thing you could do if you wanted it a cereal box and lay it flat on the bottom of the tank then cut a hole out on top of the box that way he can have that underground feeling. Plus its nice and dark and also can be under the hot side and cool side at once.

Definitely skip the spray paint. If you want a natural-colored hide that's inexpensive, make it out of polymer clay.
