I recently rescued a female supposed to be normal ball python. And a male supposed to be pastel ball python. I would just like to get some thoughts and opinions on what you guys think? The first two pictures are the female, and the last picture is the male. for some reason it wont let me upload the pictures so heres the link to another forum that i posted the same thing and it worked..

Yes, the female in the first two pics looks like a normal to me and the male looks like a normal to me too. Just my .02

Do you have a photobucket account? That's how I upload: upload a pic and paste the pic's [img] code here. As for telling, the female's coloring tells me that it's a normal to me - I'm not seeing any other dark morph in her (ie black pastel, cinny, chocolate, etc) since those dark morphs have telling patterns and characteristics. As for the male I looked at him a good while (he has some banding that is seen on a lot of pastels) but overall the coloring and the lack of the "brown stripe" that's a characteristic on darkened (browned out) pastels makes me want to say he's a normal. A light colored normal with blushing, just not a pastel IMO. How about posting a belly pic and head pic of the male? That might help a lot in deciding what he is (or is not).

    Here's my pastel for comparison:

    And my darkest normal girl:

I'm not seeing any pastel but I would like to see a couple clear belly shots of the male. Those orange flames are interesting.
