    Axanthic Pastel Spotnose we think

I went down to my buddy Tom's today and took a picture of this. We think it is a VPI Axanthic Pastel Spotnose. We're not 100% sure because this should have never hatched in the first place. The breeding was a Super Patel Spotnose male to a Spotnose female. Both are offspring of a Spotnose male that he got from Tracy at VPI. The only explanation that makes sense is that the original male was Het Axanthic and that these were unknown pos hets that proved out.

Here he is next to his Pastel Spotnose sister.

    Now with an Albino Spotnose

And finally with a regular Spotnose

Re: Axanthic Pastel Spotnose we think

I've never seen a VPI axanthic pastel spotnose before so I can't compare but I do agree that it's very nice looking..Would that be a first? I just checked WOB and didn't find it

I was talking to Tom today about that. It may be a first. The axanthic spotnose has been done, but I've never seen anyone post a pastel version. And to think it was completely unexpected.

Yes that combo has been done a few times this year...Outback has one on KS right now...

Some of the first Spotnoses made/released from VPI were 50% poss het Axanthics so it no surprise your buddy proved some out from them...It's probably running all through there Spotnose stuff!

Ian G was the first to produce the Spotnose Axanthic...He got his original breeder male from Tracy back in the day, bred it to a 100% Het Axanthic and bam...Made the Spot Ax before Tracy...lol
