Compadres, it is imperative that we crush the freedom fighters before the start of the rainy season. And remember, a shiny new donkey for whomever brings me the head of Colonel Montoya.

Hey guy's...Look at the second picture. Right behind his head on the thick part of his body. It look's like there is a one eared chimpanzee marking on his body.

I think I will name it Cheetah!

Great rescue. I am sure that you saved the poor thing's life. Any person who would just stand by, and let a snake in their shop get to that point, is disgusting.

Ironhead, I am really proud of what you are doing! Those burns look really painful! I truly hope that he/she is not in as much pain as it looks. Thank you for giving this beautiful creature such a wonderful home with the proper care that it deserves.
Life is like a game of poker. You can play each hand to the best of your ability but you are still going to run into a bad beat from time to time. What matters is how you handle it. Do you go on tilt or can you maintain your composure & rebuild your stack?

Believe me....He is. When he is out...he has not stopped checking out his new home. When we first got him home he would stay stiff, and parts of him he could'nt or would not bend due to the burns and extremely dry skin. Well.....Today he is coiled up in his hide so I guess the neosporin is helping out. I really believe he will make it through this ordeal. I believe he will end up keeping a dime sized dent in his body though due to a bad burn. Dont know if the shed's will get rid of it or not.
He actually look's like he is hunting for food (has not eaten in over a month). Should I try to see if he will feed, or is it a better Idea to wait a while until he heals. He was eating fresh killed so I dont have to worry about he being attacked by the prey. Now If I could just get Monty to eat fresh killed or frozen thawed. For as bad of shape he was in with the burns and Ice cold when we got him home he does not seem stressed at all. Has a very good demeaner to him, not head shy and has not struck at me. He has hissed once when I startled him, but other than that, he seems to be a very docile animal though he wants to take off when being held, allways on the move.

I keep referring this new bp as a he, but I do not know. Maybe after he has shed a few times I will take him and Monty on a 2 hour trip to the vet for checkups and find out exactly what sex they are.

Thank's for all the well wishes for Cheetah, both he and I appreciate them.

Carl, I'm glad to hear he's feeling a little better already. Chris told me earlier he was curling up, and that's good. I'd suggest waiting for at least one shed before trying to feed him after his recent trauma and move, but you could try if you want since he was eating p/k before. I wouldn't be surprised if he got more headshy when he's feeling better, though, as that's exactly what happened with Snyder after I nursed her back.
