lol I'm really excited for it! Me and my bf are going to wait a bit to see it though so it's not so packed. The LOTR trilogy are some of my all-time favorite movies and I adored the books too. I've literally seen the Return of the King over thirty times....and I have all the soundtracks

So your saying it's good, I was afraid it would come up short.

I think Peter Jackson and the producers would know well enough that they'd have to produce nothing short of an amazing follow up to the LOTR movies... there would be massive repercussions if they didn't.

We went and saw it last night. I really enjoyed it
TEENCY bit too long for my liking, but it was definitely worth it. Love the wit from the characters.

My opinion is that it's good, but not as amazing as LOTR. Stretching a roughly 400 page book into three movies is just ludicrous.

This was my concern when I heard it was going to be one of three movies. I expect it to be pretty good, but I doubt it can compete with the LOTR trilogy. My family will be seeing it over xmas break.

I read the book back in the late 70's and saw the crummy TV cartoon movie a half dozen times and am really looking forward to this new one,but y'all are saying it's one of three new films? Bout to look that up.
