There are a couple of powdered diets on the market from TRex that are nutritionally balanced for Rhacodactylus geckos. They are not suitable for leopard geckos, however, and could make them sick.
I used to catch crickets as a kid, too, and would way rather touch them than, say, cockroaches, but I'd still rather avoid it if I can.
