Humidifier?

I know I'm going to end up needing one in the very near future for my tank, but I'm unsure of what a good one is. I've seen a few different brands but they all seem to have very different reviews. What do y'all use?

There are a few different types, warm mist, cool, and ultra sonic. I personally use a ultra sonic. I've tried many in the past and most cool mist styles use filters, which can get expensive. Warm mist styles use more energy to run and depending on the water quality at your home require a lot more cleaning to the heating element.

The water at your home will also play a roll in how often you have to clean the unit.

I use a Holmes HM2610-LUM and have never had a problem, very simple design, easy to clean, and lasts almost 30 hours on low. The low setting keeps my 12x12 room at 55-60%.

I have an ultra sonic picked it up for about $35. Stick with one of the bigger brands and you should be fine. I fill it up once a day. Uses about 1/2 to 3/4 of the water set on low to med.

I actually don't like the U/S ones. I think the cool mist are all ultrasonic types too. I prefer the warm mist ones they don't drop the temps any and they do a better job of humidifing as they actually put water vapour into the air not water mist. They also are not prone to bacteria growth as they boil water to work not vibrate it so the humidity released is basically sterile they don't need to be cleaned daily.
