    Finally got bit!

And it wasn't one of my beloved reptiles.... Rather, it was this little one. I believe she's pregnant with my first litter, so I'll give her a break. I definitely think I'd rather be bit by a ball python than a rodent though.

You can see my pastel het clown in the background, just chillin. If you want to improve your snake's feed response, give them a clear view of a rat enclosure... They can't see much when the rat's hides are in place, but sometimes they definitely notice all the movement from across the room.

Rat bites are the worst! I'd rather get bit by the snake. When I kept pet rats I actually didn't get bit much, but the worst bite I got was from a pregnant female. Still got the scar.

I only get bitten by other people's reptiles and my own feeders. At least it's not the other way around, getting bitten by my own herps and not the feeders. I just make a note in my head to feed them off first :p

I hear ya. My first thought when I get bit by a rat is that they've earned a play date with a friendly reptile. Rat mommas get a bit of a break. I'd be pissy too!
