Help, got a boa with a RI. What to do?
I got a hypo boa off craigslist and she/he is sick. How can this be treated?

By taking him or her to a vet for some antibiotics. You should take the snake to the vet anyway, especially since you got it off CL just to make sure nothing else is wrong. Boas don't often get RIs unless they have been kept in poor conditions as they tend to be more hardy in that way than BPs. But until you can get a vet appointment, you should raise the ambient air temps by a few degrees to about 90-92.

I was reading about the use of tylan, I have heard good things about treating RI with it.

Get a CULTURE guessing if the RI is fungal bacterial viral and which exact strain of what is crazy. get the culture done and then targeted drugs can be administered. Drugs that will work, rather than a straight up guess.

You need to have a vet get a culture.
There are 3 types of RI. (Bacterial, Fungal,Viral)
You won't know which type it is without testing for it. Viral RI is rare and there is no treatment. Bacterial is the most common and comes in many forms. Its most likely a bacterial infection. Different antibiotics are used to treat certain types of bacterial RI. Some randomly prescribed stuff may or may not work.
So it is important to get a culture done to identify what kind of RI it is in order to prescribe a drug that specifically targets that bacteria. It will save you time and money in the long run.

Do sicknesses like this cause odd behaviors? Im not sure if this is because she is sick or something genetic but she seems to twist her head alot and roll over odd ways.

Vet.
Keep it away from your other snakes.

Head twisting indicates neurological problems. RI doesn't cause that.
