Bob was probed by a really great herper and judged to be male.
It was done very fast which could mean the guy is extremely good at it.
However, Bob has not been able to play on his climbing tree lately because we have a puppy in the bedroom so I've been just petting him in his condo.
Bob has been raising and wagging his tail while being petting, lately.
The last time I had a Boa 'get happy' like that was Dixie the Dumerils girl.
Could Bob be a Bobra and the probe incorrect?
I don't want to insult the guy by asking him to re-probe him so I'm in a quandary.
Bob does not have the 'obvious spurs' male Boas are said to have.
You have to really look for them.
I also tried that 'palpation' thing on YouTube and I'm not feeling 'obvious hemipenes'.
[but Bob sure seemed to enjoy my searching..."his" tail went straight up in the air and he totally stopped his usual squirming around while I'm holding him]
I have a set of probes but have never done a Boa.
They're so much bigger than my Beeps, I'm not even sure I'd know how far is far enough for a boy.
