Good to know USARK got together some excellant folks that have in the field knowledge of what is going on down there and how much threat the pythons actually have to the residents and eco-system.

I feel this is more about taking away your rights to own a large snake, less about an Eco-system.

If it was about an Eco-system the ban shouldn't effect most states where a large python couldn't survive.

Humans have done more damage to the Everglades than any snake could come close to. No ban on them.

The HSUS wants to chip away a persons right to pet ownership. This is the very start of it. It's easy to start with the large snakes, most people have a hate for them already.

Well, we can only speculate the reason behind it because we do not know what backroom deals are being made. However, the purpose of getting folks with the most knowledge in the field at the hearing is that they will present enough evidence and logic so that when politicians do just go ahead and ban them they can not claim that it was based off of any facts.
