    Vision vs Animal Plastics

I'm looking to move my snakes into racks really soon and currently the tie is between Animal Plastics' Adult Economy Racks or Vision Products Sterilite 32qt. racks. I've heard a lot of good things about both of them but as far at price, it seems like AP is the better option however Vision look easier to assemble/disassemble and store which is an important feature to me since I am planning on moving out of my apartment in the next year or two.

I am concerned about is Vision's heating system. Most of their racks seem to use heating cables and I've heard a lot of less than stellar reviews about those (inconsistent heating and short circuiting mostly) so I'm curious to know what other people have to say on the matter.

    Thanks!

All of my racks are AP economy racks. I love them. They are easy to assembly but have a lot of screws so it takes a bit of time unless you have a power drill. I don't have any vision racks but I've heard they are nice.

Eh, I'm pretty used to assembling absurd Ikea furniture by hand so that probably won't be an issue, haha.

Nice thing about vision is you don't need to buy the tubs somewhere else.

AP seems pretty doable. Same thing with Vision except for wiring all the heating cable.

That's true but Sterilite tubs aren't particularly hard to come by.

Honestly I wouldn't buy either again. Have used both and both have huge drawbacks. Go with RBI or EVO racks you'll be happy you did.

I use several different AP racks. I love all of the racks except the economy rack. The economy rack does not work for me because temps fluctuate too much since its in a 3rd bedroom. The fullly enclosed racks are really good at keeping the temps stable.

It all depends on what works for you.

Customer service is GREAT with AP. Ali is great at answering any question you have.

Instead of starting a new thread...

Are AP racks stackable? And would you go with duel 11" or 3" belly heat.

I'm looking at the iris 900 rack for the extra bit of room. The 3" belly heat seems lacking for that large of a tub.

    Thoughts ?

I'm sure that if you asked AP could put some of the stacking pins that they use on their PVC cages on a rack.

I'd go with 3" belly heat.
