    Name this tortoise

    My son found this in the woods yesterday and wants to hold onto him for awhile what are some requirements for keeping them indoors.

    It is a some kind of box turtle, but I don't have any experience with them and can't really give you any care requirements.

    Looks to be an Eastern box turtle, best idea would be to put him back right where you found him. Its also illegal in GA to own one just so you know
    (even though a lot of people still do).

    It's definitely T. carolina, I do believe its the sub species bauri. As previously mentioned its illegal to possess this species. Releasing him ASAP where he was found is the best thing for the little guy.
