    Great news!

I have what I thought to be a mouser. I had tried EVERYTHING to get her to eat rats: live, prekilled, frozen, small, big, left over night, hair dryer trick, brained, etc. You name it, I tried it! Just when I went out and spent $65 on mice for her, she goes and eats a live rat fuzzy. I thought it was just a fluke and maybe she was hungry. But today, I bought her a live rat pup and she is currently coiled! I'm so fricken excited that she's eating rats now! No more mice for her! Sadly...that means all the nice I just bought are useless....

I just wanted to share my excitement and my frustration.

That's awesome, I am trying a f/t rat pup overnight right now because my girl didn't take it off the tongs with the zombie dance. I have been looking everwhere around me for live rat fuzzies or pups but nobody sells them around Akron that I can find. I'm happy and kinda jealous

Yes...of course she does this AFTER I purchase all these mice for her! Oh well! As for the baby who won't eat F/T...i hope she eats for you. I'm lucky that I have two pet stores relatively close to me that sell feeders. Usually when one is out, the other one has them. Sadly, they are just so expensive! I really want my live eaters back on F/T. next week I'm going to try F/T with my spider (the used-to-be mouser) and see if she'll take it.

That was your BP getting you to get the mice so that you would have them. You see, they want you to get a corn snake and now you have food for it!

I have 5 cornsnakes! But all of them are young. My biggest one JUST moved up to weanling mice and corns don't usually get big enough to eat jumbos. That's the problem, I have 25 jumbo mice with nothing to eat them!

I say get a juvy carpet python and feed the mice to that. Once your out of mice get the carpet on rats. My carpets will eat just about anything that smells like a rodent, including your hand if your not careful.

Just a thought. I like having my carpet pythons to use a garbage disposal.
