    Introducing male to stimulate feeding

I've got a pair of 2009 het piebald balls. The male is around 1200 grams, and the female around 900. She is a terrible feeder, eating once a month at most. She's been the same size for a year and a half. I've heard people say some females start feeding like crazy once a male is introduced. Does anyone think it would be worth putting them together for a while to try to get her to pick up her feeding? Thanks

I have used that method with some success. I wouldn't start pairing every few days like your trying to breed but put him in there for a week then take him out. It might get her started.

My female lesser has been off feed for two months. 1600 grams empty. I started pairing two weeks ago and since then she is back eating like crazy, it could be coincidence.

Try putting a male shed in with her? Or male betting / swap her into a male inclosure? Brainstorming haven't tried any of those.

If you have a picky feeder that has always been like that it's not gonna help. A terrible feeder tend to remain a terrible feeder.

Try to get her to 1100/1200 grams and then breed her, if she take and lay eggs this might actually jump start her metabolism.
