I thought about that once. Watched a bunch of videos on you tube. It would work better if the cats had a dedicated toilet. We only have one in our house, so I gave up. I don't know that you need a bunch of special equipment. If I remember right, they had some sort of a cut out thing. Which I imagine you could make yourself out of wood. First you have to start moving the cat box closer to the toilet. Bits at a time. And they had the said "cut out thing" that fits between toilet bowl and seat. You start out with a small hole in the center, and put a bowl in the toilet beneath it with cat litter in it. As the cat starts getting used to it, you gradually make the hole bigger, and reduce amount of litter in the bowl in the toilet. I believe you start reducing the cat litter down first until its gone, then making the cut out hole bigger. Until eventually the hole in the cut out, is the same size opening as the toilet. Check you tube, tons of videos there. If we had another toilet to train them on, I would totally have done this.

I think all you got to do is put some sorta litter box over the hole and once they start going in it take it away.

I dont think so. That will only teach your cat to crap and piss in a litterbox. Then when you put the litterbox in the kitchen or whatever it will just do its business in it, in the kitchen...
