    Those are adorable pics, David!

A question for you: I notice that your little guy's beard is very light. Shaggy's beard is perpetually dark/black. Sometimes more so than others. I know they darken it and puff it out to make themselves look fiercer...but if it's always at least a little dark, does that mean he's still not really relaxed? (It's only been a few days, after all.) Will his colors relax as he does? Or is it that some guys just have darker beards than others?

I sure hope that Shaggy eventually becomes fully comfortable being with us, like your guy seems to be with you.

Beardies will make thier beards turn black if they are angry, stressed or scared. It may be that your hs not settled in fully yet.....so I don't think its anything to worry about. Also, as males get older their beardes will just nsturally get darker. Soon your beardie will become comfortable and you and your family will be able to find out his personality and bond with him (as corny as that sounds lol).

Thanks, David. I try not to handle him too much...but he still has to be fed and cleaned up on a daily basis. He's not aggressive at all (unless he thinks its a cricket!) but he doesn't seem at all relaxed.

Thanks...I'll try and relax. I still find myself highly amused at how stressed we get about how stressed our animals might or might not be!
