    Albino rectic

So i found a Albino rectic....and my snake addiction is kicking in and i really want it.. but my problem is i dont know much about them. I currently have two ball pythons . A normal ( about 1 year old) and a lemon pastel ( month and a half).
So i guess my first question is how big do you think it will get?
They are asking $250. is that a good asking price?
Do they grow really fast (length) or slower growing?
Is there any different care you have to do for them?
Are they generally aggressive or like Bp's are they usually tame to handle. ( i know it differs from snake to snake)
cause if i get it i would really want to handle it a decent amount
how big of a cage should i look at getting starting out?
    thanks

No offense, but if you don't even know the basic information about them you should NOT get a retic. That is very irresponsible. If you're looking at getting a larger snake start with a boa. Ball pythons are NOTHING like a retic.

x2 on what abrunsen said. ^^^^

First, check out this caresheet: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...reticulatus%29

Then the rest of your questions really depend on whether you're looking at a male or female Retic. Their speed of growth and how big they will get depends on age, what you feed them and whether you've got a boy or a girl. Either gender will get big enough that they will need rabbits or the appropriate equivalent. Their temperament differs from snake to snake just like people; some could be docile, some could be snappy, some could be shy. I've never really heard too many counts of them being aggressive, but they do say they've got impressive feeding responses. Regular handling usually helps keep a snake at least used to being handled.

As for the size of the cage, how big is the snake? Most people follow either one of two rules: 1) the length and width of the enclosure equals the length of the snake, or 2) one square foot of floorspace for every foot of snake.

As for the pricing, I couldn't really say if that's a fair price or not, since I'm not very experienced with Retics. I'm just using basic knowledge I've heard around here as well, so I can't answer your questions more in-depth.

Honestly, you probably should wait, do a lot more research, and talk to Retic owners before even thinking about getting one. If you have to ask basic questions you probably should wait.

I think the OP is under estimating the size and strength of these animals.

To the OP as DrDooLittle has already stated, you already have a thread started about this where you have been givin multiple reasons as to why they think you are not ready for a animal of this size.

This site is full of very knowledgable people, you came here asking for there advice, why ask if your not going to take it into consideration.

    Just my 2 cents

A Red Tail Boa would be a great next step from Ball Pythons. That's what I did! I had a Ball but my boyfriend and I wanted to get into the larger snakes, and BCI's are a great way to get the experience. They only get around 6ft or so for males, 7ft or so for females, the largest common length being MAYBE 8ft or 9ft. BCC's are bigger than BCI's but still nowhere near as big as Burms or Retics, definitely. And they have just lovely attitudes and temperaments.

Good choice on waiting! I got mine on a whim, but I've also been doing research about them for close to 5 years, and I have 3 different mentors for when I have questions.
    Mine's bigger.
