***Graphic Warning*** Live Feed
I retired some old african soft furs today and thought I'd share my carpet python's impressive multi-tasking capabilities. He got the first one and was wrapped up as usual(strong feeding response on this boy - dead or alive) but one of my other snakes refused so I dropped a second one in with him. Refusing to release the first kill he actually used his tail to pin the second rat against the side of the enclosure. I was impressed he was able to hold it in place without coiling so I went to grab my camera but by the time I got back he had thrown some coils around this one as well. Anyway, thought I'd share this display of snake coordination.

Great picture. Very impressive. The snake looks great too.

I can't see the pic and I'm not looking to rain on your thread... but do you really think that was a good idea? I definitely wouldn't drop a live rat in with my snake while it's all wound up and trying to swallow another one. It just doesn't seem safe to me.

I do believe they were both dead at the time, unless I misunderstood.

From the looks of it, he was monitoring it closely. Glass front cage and he got a cool pic. Seems the risk was pretty low given this snake's feeding response.
