Shipping first package and I have a regarding temps and heat pack

So I am shipping my first package tomorrow from Daytona Beach to Washington state. The high in Daytona tomorrow is 88 and low 71. On Wednesday (delivery day) in Washington the low is 54 and high 79. I plan on dropping the package off at the Fedex location as late as possible.

I am pretty sure I have the actually boxing up part situated but I am a bit worried on whether or not I should add a heat pack to the shipment or not.

I don't want to cook the little guy nor do I want to freeze him to death.

My gut instinct is telling me to add the heat pack and I am prepared to do so. Anyone more experienced in shipping think different?

    Appreciate the feedback.

If you add a heat pact depending on how long of a heat pack it is..you can cover 1/2 to 2/3rds of it and it wont all heat up that way you wont get the full heat value but still offer some heat.

Those are nearly ideal shipping temps. I would NOT suggest adding a heat pack.

Ah too late...I tested it for a couple of hours at home, set the box up with the heat pack but no snake. It did not see to get too hot. I think he will be ok. I knew I should have called you guys to double check.

Well he made it to his final destination with no problems. The lady that purcahsed him said he had the koziest setup she had ever seen.

I appreciate both of your responses.
