1 in 7.. I can live with that!

So, breed my het pied girl to my double het albino pied male, on June 30th Taki gave me a clutch of 7 eggs. With a 25% chance per egg of a pied it was not great odds, but still a decent chance. Fast forward to this week, Monday the 27th the first one pipped, not a pied. By Tuesday morning 3 more had pipped, still no pied. Today I woke up and the last 3 still hadn't pipped on their own, today was their formal hatch date. I couldn't take it any more and cut the last 3 first thing this morning. Normal...... Normal.............. Pied! The very last egg has my pied in it! Now it just has to come out on its own, and be healthy and eat.

Congratulations! Don't worry, the odds have a way of balancing out from one year to the next. I like to think of poorer odds as saving up my luck for the right clutch!

Make that 50% het albino. Here's hoping that it's a female so that you can put her back to your male and see if she's het albino!

Love it! I always love seeing that white in a possible Pied egg. To me, that is one of my favorite things about ball pythons! Congratulations.

Lol, I am sooooo psyched right now! I would love for it to be female, but I would be just as happy with a male since all I have is hets and poss hets at this point. My first pied, and I hatched it myself! As soon as it actually hatches.
