Ok, well, I'll admit to talking to my critters. I don't do the baby talk thing, though. I try to use logic with my animals. "Now George, you know I have never hurt you, you don't need to get scared when I touch your head!" or "Noobie, you need to hurry up and finish that shed, I have the perfect HUGE rat just waiting for you!"

So, since I try and reason with my snakes, does that make me crazier than the rest of you?

LOL...I do the same thing, Randy! But then again...we've already established that I have a long-standing relationship with the men in white coats!

I talk to all my animals. Baby talk is usually reserved for my maltese puppy, though. Although I haven't actually heard them talk back, they often look at me like I'm totally out of my mind. They may be right.

LOL, I don't really baby talk my snakes either, or much of anything but puppies and kittens if that. I do, however, attempt to give them instructions. "Hold still, Seymour, so she only has to poke the needle in once," "Snyder, don't go in her sleeve -- you know your scales will get caught coming back out," "Hanover, you need to stop hissing." I also talk to them about themselves, "You had a great shed, Hanover, are you hungry?" and about nearby objects, "Why are you so fascinated with Jessica's hair?" or "You don't want to sniff the kitty, trust me."

I guess if Randy's crazy, there's no need to ask if I am.
