Females refusing food at 1k grams.

I've seen plenty of threads where this occurs. A female is an eating machine until they reach 1000 grams, then they shut down.

I'm just curious how to see how often it occurs . My enchi gal refused a meal yesterday after shedding/pooping. She is also 1031 grams now! I'm not assuming that she's off feed now, but it wouldn't shock me. My albino reached just over 1k grams around October last year, then went off feed for several months. I just thought it was interesting. Who else has experienced the 1k gram fast?

My mojo girl is still feeding every week but processing it faster too.
She is now pooing the morning of feeding day.
The 1K balance has been going on for about two months

Literally the week my Jigsaw hit 1000g she went off feed for 50 days, just fed again yesterday. My Black Pewter het hypo did the same at about 990g, this time for a month.

What temps do you keep your snakes at h00blah?
If one of mine refuse a meal 2 weeks in a row ill switch up their spot on the rack. Dont ask me why but for some reason this has worked for me too. I just slide their tub out and switch it up with another spot on the rack. Without actually changing their tubs.

One of my racks has mostly younger and smaller snakes. I keep that at 91. The rack with the enchi gal is at 94. All my big snakes sit on 94/93.

Jinx, that is so strange.. I bet my clown and calico do the same thing as well. My calico and clown are both over 900. My clown is in shed so once she sheds and poops, I'll weigh her.

Try dropping your hotspot for them by like 4-5 degrees. Keep them at the temps for like a week and see if they eat for you next feeding day. (If you want to, im not telling you what to do lol). Im just curious to see if it'd work.

I don't mind experimenting. I'm going to see if she eats on her own first. If a month goes by, I'll experiment with different temps. It's pretty hot though, and the ambient temp in my room probably gets really warm, bumping the heat in the tub. I keep the a/c on while I'm here. Either way, I'm not too worried. She's big, healthy, and she'll eat when she's ready .

My big breeder girl has NEVER been a picky eater but she only decides to eat about once a month -_- they like doing this to us lol

That's what i'm hoping will work for me!

I just dropped my temps on my rack a few days ago that contains a few of my older '10 gals that have been off feed since march. I'm hoping it'll help break their fasts.
A had a female snake around feb that came down with RI and was moved from the rack so I bumped the temp up from 88 to 92. Three ~1100 gram females haven't ate anything of substance since.
