    Questions!

First off, it IS normal to see spurs on either side of the vent, correct? I was handling my BP last night and I hadn't noticed it before and it kind of freaked me out.

Second, what is the difference between a Yellow Belly and a Normal?

Third, How exactly will I know when my BP is going into shed? I read the sticky on it, and I THINK I see my BP's eyes clouding up a little, but I'm not sure. I've never seen him shed and I've had him for almost a month now.

    Re: Questions!

Yes, spurs are normal. All BPs are born with them but some adults will be missing one or have broken spurs because of bad sheds or other accidents.

A normal ball python will have some pattern on their belly; some black lines or squiggles etc. Just a continuation of their pattern. Yellow belly snakes have a solid yellow color on their belly, no patterns or markings. That's the basic difference

--Sorry I had to look back at the third question--
A first sign that ball pythons are going into shed is when their belly turns a pinkish color. The 'Blue' phase (cloudy eyes) comes a bit later. You'll notice their colors getting duller too
