Your wish is my command lol... it is a very true statement. Hopefully late next season I can itch my scratch and produce a few hypo enchi combo girls in my first ever clutch...prayers to the odds gods starting now.

Super Pastel enchi before it shed.

    Here's a regular little enchi

A really nice enchi girl we kept last year

the girl above and her sister.

    Male 2010 Pastel enchi

    and all grown up

and our breeder male regular enchi

A really cool little girl from last year we kept

Oh and more to come once they shed.. I love enchi's

    Re: Show me your enchi's

This is our 2 gene enchi boy from Mark Petros, genetic black back enchi male.
We have him slated to breed another enchi girl, a sugar girl and probably a butter female too.

So correct me if I'm wrong- Enchi is the reduced banded pattern. But is there a color standard? I've seen some more "yellowish" colored and some more "orangish" colored. Or do they hatch one color and progress to the yellow? Seems most hatchlings I've seen are the more orange. Which is better to look for to make combos with, when I'm looking at babies? Or does that not really matter, and boil down to personal preference?

I believe u want a really orange hatchling bc the orange keeps brightening and gets more yellowy with age. Lots and lots of yellow on the sides

To me what makes a good Enchi is the combo of good pattern, not reduced so much but an even pattern, and good color..

These are babie's before their first shed.
