This thread isn't helping. Now I want pet rats again, and I don't have the roooooom.

Ugh, I miss having pet rats. Beautiful babies

Those babies aren't Siamese. They don't have dark tails.

    - - - Updated - - -

Without the dark tails, those would be beige babies.

Yeah until I seen these last pics they looked Siamese, but they are beige or champagne in all probability.

Beige is a red eyed dilute of a black rat, Red eyes dilute the coat color of rats changing them to lighter colors
Champagne is a black rat turned to a light color by the pink eye dilute.

These are what my siamese pups look like. (Not the black ones obviously...)

    Mom:

When I got her as a small rat-
She's my favorite female and I have to admit that I was pretty disappointed that she molted her hood.

    Mom's color change:

    What she looks like now:

I only asked because I wasn't 100% sure if she was Himalayan or Siamese. She had darker points when she was younger that faded. And according to the AFRMA site, Himalayan's look almost like PEWs because their points are so light or non-existent??
Himalayans are such a mystery to me... hahaha
