"rescued" a few baby birds
Yesterday I walked around the side of relative's house and almost stepped on two little baby birds. I know that fledglings that are learning to fly are still being fed by their parents, and are fine, but these were obviously babies, without feathers. I couldn't see a nest anywhere, but I made a little makeshift nest out of straw and left them on the ground for about an hour, but saw no bids even come near, let alone bright yellow lesser goldfinches like these two were. So I put a warm water-filled glove in a bag and placed them on it, wrapped in paper towels. I called Lindsay Wildlife Museum (awesome place, btw) and said I had baby birds, and they said to bring them over.
My aunt was nice enough to drive me there and we delivered them to the hospital! I feel really good about helping them.
No pictures, sadly, I was really stressed out about them
Do you guys have any fun stories about wildlife rehabilitation?

Once we had a baby blue jay that had managed to get on the ground somehow. It couldn't fly and the parents were just going nuts. That's what made us go looking. I could hear them through the kitchen window for hours. So we went out and found the little guy. I couldn't see a nest anywhere. We took him to a local wildlife rescue.
