Okay, I'm having a bit of a dillemma. I need to find a home for my 1.3 leopard geckos sometime before the summer. Someone contacted me who wants to take them, but she's in Ontario (I'm in Boston) and I have no experience with shipping anything besides letters. I know where I can find info on packing herps and so on (feel free to post any links you may have though), but I'm concerned with them being held up at the border. From what I've read, you do not need a permit to transport leopard geckos from the states to Canada. I was thinking, since I travel to Nova Scotia on a regular basis (what do ya know, I'm here right now!) that I could ship them from New Brunswick to Ontario on my way to NS to avoid border delays. I just want opinions and any ideas you guys may have on how to safely get these guys to Ontario (I would wait until spring/early summer, the weather is WAY too cold now). Thanks for any advice!

Not that I've ever shipped anything to Canada, but I would think walking them through Customs would probably be easier than shipping them through. Here's the About.com site on Canadian Customs in case that's helpful.

Sorry for the delayed reply - I've either been snowed in or travelling, I just got back home to Mass about 20 minutes ago.

I decided to put them up for sale for $90 on a couple sites a few weeks ago and this is the only very serious inquiry for all four geckos I've recieved. She wants them if I can find a way to ship them to her. If she changes her mind I'll let you guys know.

K - Can you ship internationally without a big hassle? Any idea how much?
