Rusty...I imagine it really takes guts to do that sort of rescue. I know I would get attached to the animals and would risk heart-ache every time one of them didn't make it. I don't know how much of a chance that little guy has, but I do believe he has the very best chance in your hands!

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Alott of "therapy" for me dealing with these situations is to vent in a safe place (and if I had money I would just see a therapist) but it helps to vent here, so thanks a million.!!!!
The newest painted turtle is still kickin, she is under proper UV and we gave her a subQ (under the skin) shot of Vit B. This helped her a bit (so it seems), We need to regulate her eating, to see how much she can handle, but she is already improving (thankfully, my husband can really work wonders).

i ahve a red eared slider and he is evil! he likes to bite me when he gets the chance and during the summer we take him in the yard to let him run a little and he is pretty darn fast he is over 9 years old and pretty cool

Yeah, for being considered the slowest things around they got some speed. Turtles are awsome, but not as cool as torts.
