Your snake sounds young and a small rat should be to big for it. If you want to switch to rats you sould get a rat fuzzy of maybe a rat pup, at the largest.

If it was me I would wait three days and then try to feed again.

Here is a link that has a good chart showing different feeder sizes.

Most suggest to use a feeder that will only leave a slight buldge in the snakes thickest section.

Going from fuzzy to small is a huge difference. The logical next step from fuzzy is rat pup.

Doesn't mean you can just feed any rat pup some can be much bigger than others, you need to feed something that is equal the girth size (widest part of your BP's body)

Also spitting a prey back out because of the size is not a regurgitation so your snake will be fine and you can resume feeding next week as usual with an APPROPRIATE size prey.

This is spot on advice! Your snake did not regurge.

Regurgitation, so you know, is actually completely swallowing the prey, and then vomiting it back up usually partially digested. Basically the difference between having a mouthful of food and spitting it into a napkin (your case) and getting sick to your stomach and vomiting. Snakes do not vomit easily. It is a serious event and often points to serious health or husbandry issues.

Yea everyone was telling me to drop the fuzzies and move to small rats, I wanted to get zeta off mice and on rats due to nutrition. The only lousy pet store in my waste of space town only had small rat. I found the smallest and she tried but halfway in her mouth she spun and pulled off it then acted weird , scared me to death. I went back toady as she was sniffing the top of the cage where I sat the rat, two fuzzies was the best I could find, I know she would have eaten another but wasn't sure about three harming her. I am going to order online and breed my rats I guess. Thanks

That's what I was thinking, but everyone was tellling me I was underfeeding w fuzzies. When I was looking at the small rats I thought they fellt way too big. My snake is 24in 175g she eats with no problem and took fuzzies today and is basking. Thanks

175g is way too small for small rats. Give her a pup instead of 2 fuzzies.

If u have a scale you can feed by weight, 10-15% of your snakes weight is what you want to go by (175x .10= 17.5) (175x .15= 26.25) so 17.5-26.25g of rodent would be appropriate.
