    Black Pastel??

So I hatched two black pastels out of two different clutches. In the egg I thought this one was a normal until she came out. She has white along her sides pretty much all the way down. She also has some linkage and some squiggles. She also has a bit of an orange tint to her.

Anyway let me know what you think. Is she a black pastel?

Sorry the pics were with my phone. Tried to get all the angles I could.

I have produced several normals in black pastel clutches that tried to look like black pastels,
    but they are still normals.
This one isn't the color of a black pastel, I'd say it's a normal.

Well if it's a normal I think it's pretty smokin. And it's female so what the heck.

If you need/want a normal to breed to eventually for sure,
I wholeheartedly agree with raising your own future breeders

Have you kept any and proved out that they were not BP's? Also, have you hatched "normals" that looked like BP's in non BP clutches that looked like BP's?

Do you have a pic of a definite normal sib to put beside this little lady? Maybe she actually does have some color difference but by herself its hard to tell. Also I think the colors on her will show a lot better once she's had her first shed.

Had to take pictures with my phone so not sure they are gonna be good enough. But here are pictures of a black pastel hatchling, and the one in question next to her normal clutchmate.

Left to right: Normal, ???, Black Pastel

Left to right: Normal, ???, Black Pastel

Left to right: Black Pastel, ???, Normal

Top Left: Normal, Bottom: ???, Top Right: Black Pastel

    Hope this helps.

The photos are pretty dark. How about some outdoor sun shots?

Sun? What is this sun thing you speak of? I live in a state that rains 85% of the year. I'll see what I can do.
