Thanks Will,
He was named Peyote because after I got him from Randy, I took notice of the pattern of his scales. The scales themselves, not the pattern on the scales. The pattern reminded my wife and I of a particular style of Native American beadwork stitch pattern called "peyote stitch", so the name stuck and seemed appropriate.
Both of our corns are awesome snakes. Very curious, very friendly, and very everything. Just great all around.

Peyote's name while in my care was Cornholio, as christened by my five year old daughter!

i like how light the color is on yours. mine is a darker orange all over, like yours is on the neck. well i guess you could see that from my pics though. i dont know how long youve had your ball python...but it seems like my corn snake is growing so much slower then my ball python. does anyone know if corns are slow growers?

Mike, these are some old pics that I took back in June of '03. He has gotten more of his orange coloring since then, kind of like your's has. But it isn't as dark though. I will try to get some pics of him tonight. He was about 1.5' in that picture and is currently around 2' long. I am currently feeding him 3 hopper mice once every 10 days. And he is no long in that 10 gallon tank. I currently have him housed in a 20 gallon long tank. Here is a picture that I took of him tonight.
I have had my bp since the middle of November and he has grown in the area of about 3 - 5" in the past 2 months. I believe that he is currently around 20 - 22" long, and is eatting one medium rat every 10 days.
