    Are JCP's arboreal?

I may just be a worring mother but I have a question on shedding.......
I purchased both of my babies at the end of Nov. and brought them home on Christmas eve, one of them was shedding the week before I brought him home and did have a hard shed, I gave him lots of baths when he came home. The other one has not shed yet to my knowledge but I noticed today when I got home that the one that has already has very cloudy eyes again...........Why hasn't the other one shed?
I finally weighed them today and the shedding one is 157 grams and the other is 115 grams. Is it normal to shed again already in just 3 weeks and the other not at all???????????

All that means is the one that is shedding again is growing faster than the other. Is the smaller one eating at all, or as good as the other?

Yes, the other is smaller but has eaten the same thing at the same time as the other, they were eating a pinky mouse a week, when they came home I bumped them up to 2 of them a week and then a rat pup last week, I'll feed again tomorrow..........................

Pinky mice are way way way too small (I'm sure you've been told that around here before)... That's probably why it isn't growing very fast. Good to know they take rat pups now . That's also most-likely why it hasn't shed since in your care. Give it time, sometimes mine go 5-8 weeks before shedding (or even pooping!) I wouldn't worry too much, your bp knows when it needs to shed. It's shedding FULL body that can be problems for the poor things ...

Yes, I bumped up to rat pups as soon as I found this site! lol
Should I stay on rats from now on or switch between lg mice?

Yeah, the one who did shed had a hard time, it took weeks for it all to come off, I did have the vet check the eyes though.

Should I try that shed ease stuff????????????? I'm assuming not but I thought I'd ask!
I'm not usually a fan of product.

STAY ON RATS!!!! That is what I recommend anyway (And I'm sure others will agree.) It's a great thing when a bp takes a rat.

And I don't know anything about Shed-Ease. I know there was a thread on it in here, but I forgot to read on it! LOL... Someone else I'm sure will have info on it.

I don't really think there is a "normal" wt gain IMHO..everyone feeds their bp differently, so there may be no way to tell. I think those #'s sound fine.
