Humidity help please
Hello all,
I am having problems keeping humidity in my tank for my 6 month old BP. Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

We need some more information first, what size/type of cage are you using, how are you heating the cage, what substrate are you using, and what are you using to measure temperatures and humidity?

Ok, so how low is your humidity?
There are a few options, you can use a different substrate such as Eco-earth or cypress mulch that holds moisture in better. You can cover part of the screen top with aluminum foil to help hold in some of the humidity.
Are you misting the cage?

If i don't spray the tank within 10 minutes it drops down from 60 to 20.... I'm getting so worried.. i'll try aluminum foil

Ok, you are going to need to use a substrate like eco earth, or cypress... Covering the top should help...
Do you live in a dry place?
You might want to look into tubs, as they hold humidity in much better

what kind of tubs?
where he is, in my bedroom, has no ventilation, i have an air conditioner in my room because his tank gets way too hot because of the weather. I am not home so i put a damp towel over the side of his tank but its not helping very much.
thank you i will try that and hope that it works.

The Heat Lamp is what sucks the humidity right out of the cage.
But if you must use a heat lamp, cover most of the lid with a wet towel.
Your best option to to use an under the tank heater (with a thermostat) and ditch the heat lamp.
My ultimate goal is an Albino Clown Pied.
